In Argentina, YPF controls 52% of total refining capacity through three strategically located refineries: La Plata (Province of Buenos Aires), Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza) and Plaza Huincul (Neuquén). It also has a share in the Refinor industrial plant in Salta.
La Plata Refinery, which began its activities on 23 December 1925, has a processing capacity of 30,000 m3 of oil/day, representing 30% of Argentina's total refining capacity.
In turn, Luján de Cuyo Refinery has a processing capacity of 16,800 m3 of oil/day, representing 17% of Argentina's total refining market.
Plaza Huincul Refinery has a crude oil processing capacity of 4,000 m3/day, and supplies the Patagonian and Alto Valle (Upper Valley) regions. It is a low-complexity refinery: consisting of a topping and platforming unit.
The industrial complexes are used to produce a complete range of products and derivatives, such as Liquified Petroleum Gas, motonaphthas for the internal market, quality naphtha, kerosene, gas-oil, fuel-oil, naphthas for petrochemical use and coal oil (coke), among others.
Furthermore, at La Plata Refinery, YPF has a Lubricants and Asphalts Complex, where lubricant bases are obtained for high quality oils, paraffin and asphalts.
In Argentina, YPF has a network of polyducts spread over 1,801 km for the distribution of its refined products. This network links the two largest refineries (La Plata y Luján de Cuyo) with its sixteen storage and dispatch terminals (three of which are annexed to the refineries and another ten connected by sea or river) with a total storage capacity of approximately 980,000 cubic meters.
It also has fifty-three aeroplants with 24,000 cubic meters of storage capacity and a fleet of twenty-seven proprietary tanker trucks.
All the aviation services meet the most demanding requirements, complying with IATA and NEPA international standards, in order to guarantee product quality, Services, Safety and Security and the Environment.
YPF owns the only network of service stations in Argentina, with 1,600 points all over the country, largely certified by the quality management standard ISO 9001 and the environmental management standard ISO 14.001. Of this total, around 1,320 are liquids (Petrol+Gasoil), almost 300 are dual fuels (Petrol and Gasoil + CNG), while around 60 are just CNG.
YPF owns a 49% share in the local petrol market and a 57% market share in the gas-oil market, supplying its clients in the industrial sector, agriculture and livestock, transport and retail through an extensive federal network of service stations and 130 Diesel Distributors (Direct Sales).
The company has 212 Full YPF stores distributed nationwide. With a new format which has transformed the concept of service stations, Full YPF provides a comfortable environment with a large variety of products and services to suit the needs of each client throughout the country.
